Limited Capacity full

The local food movement has benefited from divesting from the industrial food system, which exploits our human and ecological capital. This workshop intends to identify and discuss essential unanswered questions vital to the progress of the local food movement. "Food as Medicine" aims to envision how food can nourish us emotionally, intellectually and spiritually. How can we reclaim our sense of tradition, culture and ancestry in order to heal ourselves? Participants will be encouraged to prioritize marginalized voices in the movement, while navigating the history of the displacement of Native peoples, to visualize a more just future centered upon healing.
